This includes:
- mandatory recycled LDPE and PP content in specific packaging types;
- stricter rules on packaging design for recyclability;
- stronger EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) obligations.
The adoption of PPWR triggered immediate reactions from the packaging and recycling sectors, accelerating investments in modern sorting, washing, and extrusion technologies.
